Cofidis Office search for expansion project

ABOUT THE COMPANY

COFIDIS is a company engaged in the provision of financial services to individuals. It has a staff formed by 4,200 employees all over the world, and manages more than 7,000 million euros in assets.

PROBLEM

The company had an annual growth rate of 20 per cent and it occupied a total area of 6,000 sqm in Barcelona distributed in five different buildings, which implied a risk for its productivity due to insufficient space.

COFIDIS needed a strategic expansion plan which would be divided in two phases. The first one, of 10,000 sqm; the second one, of 5,000 sqm. It also needed to increase productivity and effectiveness in a single building for all.

SOLUTION

Thanks to a market analysis it was possible to identify all the buildings that met the company’s space requirements, amongst which that of entering a lease agreement that granted their growth both in the mid and in the long term.

The building chosen by the client was the one that is currently included in the recommendations issued by FERRAN SERVICIOS CORPORATIONS. Once the negotiations were completed, the team work responsible for the implementation was coordinated.

RESULT

The effectiveness of space increased by 12 per cent, and a lease agreement granting that the company would not have any problems with expansion in the future. Direct savings in negotiation amounted to 1 million euros.
